Blackberry Gin Fizz

Blackberry Gin Fizz: Your New Favorite Cocktail

There’s something about a gin fizz that feels timeless, light, effervescent, and just a little indulgent. When I started playing around with the classic recipe, I knew I wanted to give it a seasonal twist. Enter: fresh blackberries. They bring this gorgeous deep purple hue and a sweet-tart brightness that makes the whole cocktail feel alive.

The first time I tested this, I remember muddling those berries and watching the gin take on their color. It felt like a little science experiment in the best way. The aroma hit first, botanical notes from the gin mingling with the juicy berries and a hint of citrus from the lime juice. By the time I topped it with a splash of club soda, I was practically ready to throw myself a garden party just to show these off.

It also took me back to last summer, sitting on a tiny balcony with friends, passing around mismatched glasses filled with whatever cocktails we could throw together. We didn’t care about perfect ratios or fancy garnishes, just the laughter, the warmth, and drinks that tasted like sunshine. This version feels like the grown-up, polished version of those nights, but it still carries that same easygoing spirit.

If you’re in the mood for a drink that feels like summer in a glass (and tastes even better than it looks), this Blackberry Gin Fizz is your new go-to. Two servings, because trust me, you’ll want a second.
